Is This Trip for Me?
"Years ago we decided to bike the tow path alongside the Potomac.  I figured on a mile of smooth, worn- down path to breeze along.  How wrong could I have been?  The smooth path turned into rocks that I had to bump over and then into boulders (I am prone to exaggerate slightly) that necessitated carrying the bike up and over!  I was exhausted and sore….and realized too late that the trip was not for me!

To avoid that unpleasantness, we have initiated a list of “levels” to help people determine which trips will be to their liking and which ones they may not enjoy.  In the future, when trips are announced for all adults, a “level” will be included along with the best description possible of the activities involved.  Visit to see the description of each Trip Level."
