First Step - FBCA Orientation Class

About First Step:

Who Should Attend? All new members and those thinking about joining our church family.

What Ages? The class is geared for those 18 and up. Youth and children are welcome; however, they may wish to attend Bible Fellowship and Worship instead. Preschoolers remain in their classes for both hours. Children in grades k–6 can be escorted to the worship center after Bible Fellowship. Kindergarteners through 3rd graders will move at 11:20 to Children’s Worship on the first floor and may be picked up there. We can arrange for your older children to sit with a pew shepherd during the service. When you register, please let us know your preference for your children so that we can adequately plan for their care and safety.

When? This is a one-time orientation class that meets on Sunday mornings.  First Step is scheduled for the following dates in 2013:

January 6        May 5        September 1     
February 3      June 2        October 6
March 3          July 7         November 3
April 7

What time?  First Step meets from 9:30–11:45am. Arrive a little early to enjoy coffee, doughnuts, and some fellowship time.

Where? First Step meets in Room 355, located in the Music Suite on the third floor.

Why? All new members and prospective members are highly encouraged to come and learn about the history, beliefs, and mission of FBC Alexandria as well as what is expected of them as a member and as a Christian. This is a great way to learn how you can connect with a small group and how you can serve in one of our many ministries.

Will I miss the sermon that morning? Yes, but we will mail it to you on CD along with some additional follow-up materials.

Do I need to sign up in advance? Yes.  Each First Step class is limited to 15 people.  Please email Ellen at ellen@fbcalexandria.org or 703-299-3604 to register.
