Prayer Ministry

"If my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and pray
and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven
and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive
to the prayers offered in this place."

— 2 Chronicles 7:14–15

Weekly Prayer Opportunities

All are welcome to attend an early morning (8:30am) prayer group on Sunday mornings in the Church Parlor (Room 243).

Weekly Prayer Services are held on Wednesday evenings at 6:15pm in the Worship Center to pray for the expressed needs.

The Church Family prayer list is available on Sunday mornings and updated for Wednesday night Prayer service. Prayer warriors are encouraged to pray on behalf of the church family, friends, community and certain efforts and issues worldwide.  Members may request a copy of the prayer sheet by email by sending an email to receptionist@fbcalexandria.org. Prayer Lists are located at the Welcome Center throughout the week.

Members are welcome to call our PrayerLine at 703-299-3619 to receive daily updates on those in the hospital or with special circumstances. Church member funeral information is also available as needed.

The Prayer Room

The Prayer Room is located outside the small chapel on the east end of the church complex. All may enter through the Welcome Center entrance at any time for a period of quiet meditation and prayer. Prayer request cards from the congregation and friends, and information on missionaries, are available to guide prayer.

Prayer Requests

When you want to share a prayer request with the pastors and prayer team, you may email our prayer group (prayer@fbcalexandria.org) or you may use the prayer request cards or communication cards found in the pew rack. Place the card in the offering plate on Sunday, and it will be shared with the pastors on Monday. The pastors will then place it in the Prayer Room so that others can pray as well.
