Volunteer Information

Children's Ministry volunteers are a valued part of the Children's Ministry Team! From teaching on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, to welcoming people at our reception desk, to delivering snacks to classrooms and helping out with special events, each person who gives of their time is making a difference in the lives of the children entrusted to our care. It is First Baptist Church of Alexandria's policy to require a volunteer application form and a background check from those serving in any position involving the supervision or custody of minors. All information is kept in a secure location and is kept strictly confidential. To fill out the secure online application form/background check authorization, click here (We renew background checks every three years.)

For Sunday morning volunteers, once the background check is completed and we have a head/shoulders photo of you, we will issue you a photo id that should be worn each Sunday morning you are volunteering in Children's Ministry.
