A "Living Legend" is coming to 4th Tuesday!
Our own Wanda Dowell has been named one of 2016's twelve Living Legends of Alexandria! We are proud of her, and because of her expertise in Alexandria history, she will be our speaker at February’s 4th Tuesday meeting. She will tell us about her interview with the writers of Mercy Street, a PBS drama series about Alexandria during the War Between the States. She will also answer questions about Alexandria history. Bring a friend and join us for a great day together! No reservation required. Lunch cost is $3.00.
Exercise Classes -- Classes meet Mondays and Thursdays at 12:45pm in room 342. Need some help getting the kinks out of your system? Join other FBCA seniors as we move, stretch, and bend our way back into shape -- and have fun while doing it! Classes are led by Wanda Dowell (Mondays) and Holly Schickler (Thursdays).
Spring Hill Worship Service -- Every Sunday, the senior adults of FBCA help lead a worship service at Spring Hill Assisted Living in Alexandria. It is a simple service -- engaging the people there, praying for them, singing, reading scripture, etc. This is one way that we volunteer in our community!
Quilting -- Whether you’re an experienced quilter or just want to learn, join FBC’s quilting group for great fun and fellowship. The group meets twice a month (2nd and 4th Wednesday) in room 150D. No experienced needed! Questions? Contact Nell Garringer at email@example.com.
